THEY'RE
FROM OUT OF TOWN, SHE'S FROM OUTER SPACE, AND TOGETHER THEY'RE ALL
GOING OUT OF THEIR MINDS!!!
Finally
a heartwarming, science-fiction adventure movie that pits a delirious
dentist, a pencil weilding accountant and a shapely space woman
against an egotistical intergalactic evangelist! Daniel Boyd's STRANGEST
DREAMS: INVASION OF THE SPACE PREACHERS!!! Critics have called
INVASION OF THE SPACE PREACHERS "an exciting, bizarre, and
extremely funny sci-fi parody, in the tradition of John Waters and
Mel Brooks."
Something
strange is going on in the backwoods and hills of West Virginia.
The once cheerful townfolk are becoming mindless, moronic automatons.
Is it an alien invasion? No, it's much worse than creatures from
space... it's PREACHERS from Space!!! And they have arrived under
the leadership of the evil Reverend Lash, who is using his faithful
following to control the minds of hapless Earthlings!
Enter
two city slickers, Walter (the delirious dentist), and Rick (the
pencil wielding accountant), who have taken to the hills to escape
their frustrating jobs and hen-pecking wives. Unimpressed by the
low-key, laid back, near comatose locals, these naive nerds think
they have finally gotten lucky when they meet the blonde and beautiful
Nova. As it turns out, she's not easy - she's an alien! Nova is
a beautiful interstellar bounty hunter sent to wage intergalactic
war on Lash and his frothy mouthed followers.
Will
the dentist, the accountant and the alien make minced meat of the
minister from Mars??? There's only one movie with the answer to
this burning question. From acclaimed director Daniel Boyd comes
this hilarious sci-fi, action-comedy, STRANGEST DREAMS: INVASION
OF THE SPACE PREACHERS! They're from out of town, she's from
outer space and they're all going out of their minds in STRANGEST
DREAMS: INVASION OF THE SPACE PREACHERS!!!

FILM THREAT
"STRANGEST
DREAMS is a stylish, humorous poke at West Virginia stereotypes
that's well worth anyone's time. From the smallest bit part to the
lead characters, each actor performed with a panache that is a credit
to West Virginians and Boyd's writing and direction."
- THE EVENING JOURNAL
"STRANGEST DREAMS is an enjoyable romp... I have no qualms about
saying I enjoyed this film. When it comes to video stores check
it out."
-
CHARLESTON DAILY MAIL
"Its
strength is its wild intervention. The movie chock-full of funny
scenes... Clever scripting marks STRANGEST DREAMS, along with high
quality lighting and sound and constantly good bit parts. The movie
overflows with good ideas..."
-
THE CHARLESTON GAZETTE
"STRANGEST
DREAMS takes a left-turn early on and finds itself on a joyride
into the outback of a wildly and wonderfully weird West Virginia.
It is a film riddled with the bizarre, the grotesque, the unpredictable
and the slightly insane - and they're all wildly funny. Danny Boyd
is the Mel Brooks of the boondocks. He isn't afraid to experiment,
and it's obvious that his sense of lunacy is contagious because
these experiments work, delivering blow after off-beat blow to the
funny bone."
-
THE REGISTER-HERALD
"STRANGEST DREAMS is an exciting, bizzare, and extremely funny sci-fi
parody in the tradition of John Waters and Mel Brooks. Boyd reaches
the limits of his black comedy very successfully, with belly-aching
hysteria."
-
THE GOREFEST
"Daniel
Boyd returns with ambitious, unpredictable and often funny comedy/science
fiction feature."
